Our Woodwind syllabus offers clear pathways for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, and Recorder, but the repertoire itself opens up so many more technical journeys to explore.
The skills we aim to develop at the higher grades, or even as professional players, often begin to take shape much earlier in the learning process. In the documents below, we’ve mapped out how musical and technical skills, themes and categories progress across the repertoire. We've highlighted different musical genres (e.g. Latin Rhythms and Styles), pieces to support technical or extended techniques, pieces that have that certain WOW factor as well as other themes to help you build programmes and explore repertoire.
