A trio for teacher and 2 pupils, Earth Dance is a piece from our Music Medals repertoire books.

It features one line for Copper level, one for Bronze, and a teacher part that could be played by you or perhaps by one of your intermediate pupils. At 16 bars long, this was originally written for recorder, but could be adapted for other instrumental groups. Perhaps it could be used as some sight-reading practice, or to bring together pupils that you teach, like George Sandford suggests in Becoming a Music Teacher to find performance and ensemble opportunities with your pupils. If you run a recorder club in your school, it’s a perfect choice.
