ABRSM’s commitment to supporting and upskilling music teachers is a central pillar of our strategy. Our ambitions are to support as many teachers as possible through the Teacher Hub, deliver face to face training, advocate for music education at the highest level, and continue to offer a wide variety of resources such as courses, webinars, and training opportunities.

We’re delighted to welcome Jenny Trattles and Charles MacDougall to the ABRSM Curriculum team family. Expanding ABRSM’s vision and drawing on their experience in this field, we look forward to working with them and their team of practitioners in the delivery of their work in MATs, Schools, Hubs, Services, Choirs and Organisations.

"Driven by my passion that every child should have access to high-quality music education - not just the paying few - I am so excited to be working with the ABRSM to move closer to this goal. With my primary curriculum expertise, real-life experience in schools, and commitment to empowering teachers who don't yet know they're music teachers, I look forward to making a significant and far-reaching impact." Jenny Trattles

I'm so excited to become part of the ABRSM family! The team here have such incredible expertise and knowledge, and the organisation a well-deserved reputation for quality training, so I'm eager to bring to the table what I know about singing in schools, multi-academy trusts and hubs, as well as my experience of the professional development and support of teachers. It's my hope that together we will be able to create programmes and opportunities with the potential for real impact on our music education landscape." Charles MacDougall
